·      MAY 22ND– – BINGO NIGHT!! Win $$$, Raffle Baskets, 50/50, 6:30 PM   Location – VFW

·      MAY 27^TH   Monday the Memorial Day Parade. We will be walking or riding as we have for the last 50+ Years, honoring and mourning the U.S. Military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

·      JUNE 22ND – KARAOKE 2!! Back by popular demand!!   5 – 9PM, RAFFLES, 50/50 …. Starring once again, our fabulous DJ RUSSELL!!!  Location- VFW….we will be raising money once again for a Service Dog for a Veteran!! At Our last Karaoke Fundraiser, we raised half of what it cost to sponsor a Service Dog. Now hopefully we will raise the other half.

·      JULY 20-21 – The LONG BEACH LIONS will have a booth on the Boardwalk during the Arts & Crafts Festival.  Stop by and say hello!! We will be selling Hot Dogs, Knishes, Chips, Soda & Water. 

·      AUGUST 4TH  10AM – 4PM. – The Lions DUCK PLUCK is BACK!!!  The LONG BEACH LIONS CLUB will be at KENNEDY PLAZA in front of City Hall with our Annual children’s event – THE DUCK PLUCK!! This event will feature Water slides, bounce houses, face painting plus more and our famous Duck Pluck where children capture the ducks (no worries- they are all rubber ducks) by a fishing net to win fabulous prizes – – – sporting equipment, toys, bicycles and more!! 

·      SEPTEMBER 25TH – With the Baseball season winding down and the World Series beginning in October our Guest Speaker will be Baseball Radio Talk Show Host – ED RANDALL!!!  ED RANDALL whose been the host of the television show “TALKIN’ BASEBALL” and currently has a show “REMEMBER WHEN” which airs every Saturday morning from 8-10AM on the MLB RADIO STATION on SIRIUS XM RADIO. Our Fundraiser tonight will be for “FANS FOR THE CURE”. and other Lion Charities.  This charity which ED RANDALL started will be for PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS.  Mr. RANDALL is currently working to bring with him a former athlete who along with Ed and many other men have fought this battle and have won. We will have food, raffles, auction items and other surprises!  The location will be at the VFW!!

·       NOVEMBER- THE LONG BEACH LIONS CLUB will hold its annual Thanksgiving Food drive.

For the last 50+ years, the Lions Club (with volunteers) have gathered together before Thanksgiving in front of all four supermarkets (Key Food West & East, Stop & Shop & King Kullen in Island Park) to collect food and then distribute to all the FOOD PANTRIES here in Long Beach and Island Park and to the Soup Kitchen.
